Inviting users

System Administrators and Registry Administrators can be invited to the system by a System Administrator. Registry Maintainers and Registry Contributors for an organization can be invited by a Registry Administrator for the organization the users are being invited to.

Inviting a user sends them an email with a link to create their own account. You choose their roles when you invite them.

Sending an invitation

  1. Go to the Settings page from the sidebar.

  2. In the User Accounts section, click Invite User. You can also click Manage Accounts and then Invite User at the top of the list, which lets you first check that the person doesn't already have an account.

  3. In Invite a User, enter the person's Email Address and choose their Roles. At least one role is required. See User roles and rights.

  4. Click Submit.

Accepting an invitation

The invited person receives an email with a link. The link opens the Create Your Account page, where they enter their details, choose a username and password, and submit the form. They can then log in with the roles they were invited with.
