# Lists and Spatial Data

The **Lists and Spatial Data** page publishes the Geo-Objects of a Geo-Object Type as a **list** (a table) and as **spatial data** (a map layer), for a date or a period of time. You can explore, edit, curate and export the data, and publish versions that don't change.

## Key terms

* **Set:** the configuration that defines a container for creating versions of lists for one Geo-Object Type. It sets the dates the lists cover, the columns they include and their metadata. In the app, you create a set with **Create New List and Spatial Data**, and view its settings with **Configuration**. A set is one of three types:
  * **Single date:** one list, of the data as it was on a **Valid For** date.
  * **Frequency-based:** a list for each period at a regular frequency (annual, biannual, quarterly or monthly) from a start date.
  * **Period-based:** a list for each period you define.
* **Working version:** the live copy of the list for each date or period. It reflects the current data, and it's where you add, edit and curate Geo-Objects.
* **Published version:** a snapshot of the working version that doesn't change. Publish one when you want a fixed version to share or export.
* **List and Spatial Data:** each version has a **List**, shown as a table, and **Spatial Data**, shown as a layer in the [Explorer](/version/v2.0.0/explore/explorer.md). Each has its own metadata, visibility (**Public** or **Private**) and authoritativeness (**Master** or **Non-master**).

## Finding a set

1. Navigate to the **Lists and Spatial Data** page from the sidebar.
2. On the left, Geo-Object Types are listed under the organization that manages them, with your own organization first. Click a Geo-Object Type.
3. Its sets are listed on the right, grouped by type. Click a set's title to open it.

Anyone can open the page. What you can see depends on each version's visibility: a **Private** list or spatial data can only be opened by members of the organization.
