# Business Types

A **Business Type** defines a kind of data that isn't geospatial, such as staff records, programs or survey results. Like a Geo-Object Type, it has attributes, and each record of that type is a **business object**. Business objects can be related to each other, or to Geo-Objects, through Business Edge Types.

The **Business Types** page has two sections, which you choose at the top of the list:

* **Business Types**.
