# 6.4.2.3. Editing the metadata of a Geo-Object Type

Registry Administrators can edit the metadata of Geo-Object Types under the curation mandate of their organization

To edit the metadata of a Geo-Object Type:
1. Go to the *Geo-Objects and Hierarchies* module either by clicking the Geo-Objects and Hierarchies module icon in the main menu page or by clicking the hamburger menu () in the upper right corner and selecting *Geo-Objects and Hierarchies*.\\
2. If needed, expand the *Geo-Object Types* column on the sidebar by clicking the arrow at the end.\\
3. Scroll down the *Geo-Object Types* column to the organization you are a part of. Find the Geo-Object Type you want to edit the metadata of and click the Edit button () beside its name.\\
4. The *Manage Geo-Object Type* window will open. Edit the Geo-Object Type information as necessary.\\
5. Click the **Submit** button.
